"SHORT FAT FANNIE" - BILLY PRESTON

What a giant of New World African Music this multi-talented man was. The video is from the mid-'60's California based TV show "Shindig!" hosted by LA radio jock Jimmy O'Neill. Billy Preston, on keyboards, led the studio band and performed the occasional vocal number on the show. We couldn't get 'Shindig!' in the East End without an antenna. I would watch the show at the Chow's on 41st Avenue at the home of brothers Harry and Buddy [who WAGRadio fans know, contribute musical ideas to Groovin' Blue occasionally].

Billy Preston - one of our musical heroes.

Wow! Given Billy's somewhat Christian leanings, I'm suprised he cut this "slack" gem dating back to the 50's!!!

The less said about Mr. Preston's "slackness" - the better.
Let's not pontificate re: our hero's sexual proclivities lest the glass houses we all live in feel the stones of the oppressors.
Whew, I have had enuff of this stuff!
