Eagles Auditorium, Seattle, Washington U.S.A.


The Fraternal Order of Eagles building - 1416 Seventh Avenue at Union Street - housed the famed Eagles Auditorium in Seattle, Washington USA. In the late 1950's and in the 1960's top Rhythm 'n' Blues acts including Hank Ballard & The Midnighters, Bobby "Blue" Bland and Little Junior Parker played here. "Eagles", the hinterland of the Chittlin' Circuit, witnessed on November 10, 1961, in his only visit to Seattle, Dr. Martin Luther King address an overflow audience.
