A DREADFUL, DEVASTATING EVENT THE FLOOD LED TO AN EXODUS OF DELTA SHARECROPPERS FROM THEIR RURAL HOMES TO THE INDUSTRIAL NORTHERN STATES. THE DELTA MUSIC THEY BROUGHT WITH THEM MORPHED INTO RHYTHM 'N' BLUES, ROCK 'N' ROLL AND CHICAGO ELECTRIC BLUES.
