Mr. C also wrote; "KSAN 1450 started with religious/ethnic programming and had a few sponsored 'Race Record' shows as early as 1950. Eventually it adopted a full-time R&B/Soul playlist with a change in call letters to KSOL"

yeah right ZigZag - i would have been 10 years old at the time this survey came out!! I wuz just a kid diggin' on this stuff until DJZZ came on the local radio scene!

yeah I got so much doo on my hip they had to replace it. Ok...Boss Radio 73CKLG had "Little Stevie Wonder" (Grossman) so I guess I could have done the "Little Mikey" DJ thang at 10!!
BTW...the KSAN chart shows Mongo Santamaria's version of jazz keyboardist Georgie Fame's song "Yeh Yeh". Mongo does a smokin' version! HOT BAR-B-Q sez the CJJZ Sky Captain!! Yeh Yeh...
