AS WE SAY IN THE EAST END . . . "HE WAS A BEAUTIFUL GUY!" JAZZ MAN ROSS TAGGART IS GONE !

WHEN A NON-MUSICIAN GETS TO KNOW AND HANG AROUND & ABOUT THOSE WHO ARE MUSICIANS WE'RE INEVITABLY STRUCK BY WHAT NICE BROTHERS AND SISTERS THESE GIFTED ONES ARE.  ROSS TAGGART WAS MY FRIEND.  WE DIDN'T GO FISHING TOGETHER, WE DIDN'T MEET UP IN SEATTLE AND GO LOOK-AROUND RECORD STORES TOGETHER, WE DIDN'T REALLY SEE EACH OTHER THAT MUCH. . .  BUT WHEN WE DID MEET, WE IMMEDIATELY GOT LITTLE GRINS ON OUR FACES.  FROM THAT GRIN CAME A LENGTHY LAUGH-FILLED CONVERSATION THAT WE BOTH SO ENJOYED.  Mr. ROSS TAGGART WAS A BEAUTIFUL GUY!  KINDNESS AND SINCERITY SHONE FROM HIM.  AND COULD HE PLAY ! !
ROSS PASSED AWAY AT AGE 45 FROM CANCER TWO WEEKS AGO ON JAN. 9, 2013.
I OFTEN THOUGHT OF ROSS WITH THE WISHFUL HOPE THAT WE'D BUMP INTO EACH OTHER SOON.

HERE IS THE OBITITUARY FROM TODAY IN CANADA'S NATIONAL NEWSPAPER The Globe and Mail (Wed. Jan. 23rd)
