MIDDLE AMERICA IS IN A BAD WAY AND NEW WORLD AFRICAN AMERICA IS ADDRESSED IN THIS SONG BY THE RELIGIOUS SONGSTERS DAWKINS & DAWKINS - "GET DOWN" -

You peeps out there are gonna have a lotta mental fun tearin' this one apart. We thinks.
For instance . . .
Does the actor wearing the OBAMA '08 T-Shirt mean that the Black American Establishment has doubts about the current U.S. Prez now?

Should the placement of the video's movie posters (name-wise) be seen as social comment?
Can the two entertainers [Dawkins & Dawkins] still wear fine threads and jewellery in an up-to-date studio environment while they sing about other peoples' troubles (with money and careers) and not be seen as callous.

I'm sure you'll see many other things to ponder in this new video of a good piece of music from a popular Gospel duo.

THEOPHILUS LONDON creating trouble w/ "I WANT YOU" - You dirty little bugger, leave that innocent chile' alone! - - dir. VASHTIE

HE'S NEW WAVE.
WELL, THAT'S WHAT SOME WOULD WANT YOU TO BELIEVE.
BUT, THIS YOUNG BROTHER IS SEEPED IN SOUL.
YOUNG BROTHER THEOPHILUS LONDON.
THIS ISN'T ON THE WAGRadio TOP FIFTY BUT IT SHOULD BE . . .

Writing on the blog " Wine and Bowties", Theophilus sez, "I bought every single Marvin Gaye record I could find.. and spent an entire 2 months listening while working on my album in L.A. I then brought the seperate parts from the original song "I Want You" by Marvin and recorded my verse and singing in London, England.
I put all the different instruments together for the new wave version.
I just want girls to wake up and put this on! Eat their breakfast, smoke their brains out and enjoy "I Want Yuu".

**SIMPLY SAID - WAGRadio AND DJZigZag BOTH ENDORSE FULLY THE NEW Cd BY OCOTE SOUL SOUNDS - DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND BUY (or Download) THIS ALBUM **

WHAT A FABULOUS GROUP THESE TWO GUYS HAVE PUT TOGETHER.
IT TAKES DJZigZag BACK TO WHAT HE'S NOW REFERRING TO (more and more) AS THE GOLDEN AGE OF NEW WORLD AFRICAN MUSIC - THE 1970's

IN THE 1970's (and the late 60's) YOU COULD WALK THROUGH THE WATTS DISTRICT IN LOS ANGELES OR HARLEM IN N.Y.C. or THE CENTRAL DISTRICT IN SEATTLE, WA. and HEAR CURTIS MAYFIELD DRIFTING OUT OF A 2nd FLOOR WINDOW ... WALK A FEW MORE FEET AND YOU'D HEAR LOU DONALDSON's LATEST JAZZ SINGLE COMING FROM A JUKEBOX IN A BAR B QUE JOINT WHILE NEXT DOOR RICARDO REY'S AFRO-CUBAN "NITTY GRITTY" WAS PLAYING ON A BARBER SHOP'S RADIO FOLLOWED BY GIL SCOTT-HERON AND THEN LITTLE MILTON.
ALL NEW WORLD AFRICAN MUSIC.
THESE TWO GUYS
- ADRIAN QUESADA & MARTIN PERNA
are
OCOTE SOUL SOUNDS
and AS ALREADY STATED THEIR NEW ALBUM entitled "TAURUS" IS ONE OF THOSE RARE RELEASES THAT SEES EVERY CUT EITHER A "GEM" or OF A VERY HIGH QUALITY.

IF YOU CLICK ON THIS POST'S TITLE IT WILL TAKE YOU TO THEIR LABEL'S (ESL Music) SITE.
