DJZZ Good to have you back.Looking forward to your insites re the Southern tor. Da Bear
Good . . . no, no, GREAT TO BE BACK ! !
Somebody said that the best thing about travelling is that it makes you appreciate home all the more. Well, I'm certainly loving watching the Fraser River from Studio 'B' and yesterday I sat in my brand new Town & Country (sorry, but I just love the new ride so much) listening to the latest Groovin' Blue 10-13 down at Spanish Banks. Vancouver is such a beautiful city and with the fresh snow on the Coast Range of mountains and the smoke from the stacks rising straight up in the air and New World African Music on our various 'boom machines' - well, yeah, I am so glad to be home.
On the other side of the coin . . . Sunny Sweet Daddy Fonk Wong is the bestest pal to travel with. He is such a considerate man. Kindness must translate to 'Yit Fay' in Cantonese cuz that's Sweet Daddy's Chinese name and the brother is kindness personified.
I, DJZigZag (aka Bill Reiter) had a most wonderfully pleasant fourteen days. Laughing most of the time, together we met any minor problem with mutual brain-power and figured what would be best for the both of us and followed that course.
I haven't broached the topic of an East End Southern Music Tour (Is Fun) 2011 BUT I hope next October to be in a rental car with SDF somewhere in the Southern USofA visiting new and connected-to-our-musical-youth places we love.
